Advice on book publication

"Tenured Radical" has very good advice on book publication, and the comments are good as well. These are all historians here, but most things apply to lit. crit. as well.

The Little Professor on Shakespeare requirements

The "Little Professor" has written a pair of terrific posts in response to the question of whether Shakespeare should be required of English majors. They are here and here. Regardless of how you feel about this matter, what makes these posts so useful is that they point out that the curriculum can be very different at the kinds of universities that the bulk of American students attend.
