Echoes my feelings exactly. It's always the middle of the road schools that seem to ask for these things. You know that they really DO care about the quality of the teaching done by their faculty. And you know that YOU really care about how you teach. But there is no good way to communicate what this is because the genre of the Teaching Philosophy has become so much a performance.
