A very good read--although it makes me all anxious again about my letter when I was feeling like I'd gotten to a good spot with it last night. Specifically the discussion of teaching in the letter makes me worried. TR and many of those commenting all discuss the need to demonstrate one's "smarts," an ability to do research, etc., and teaching is kind of cast by the wayside.
I'm finding that I swing between feeling excited about the whole prospect of the job market and feeling overwhelmed/depressed. But that's probably how it is for everyone.
