Blog project?

Anyone want a blog project? If we switch the blog over to the new Blogger (beta version) -- which I keep getting prompted to do (is that just me?) when I log into blogger, then maybe someone could figure out how to embed the new Google calendar into the blog? Or I suppose I could just do this myself, but it's exam time coming soon....

It's pretty beta alright. Blogger doesn't want me to switch over. I never get a prompt when I login and when I tried your link, Blogger told me, 'sorry, we haven't invited you to our new, improved beta party.' In not so many words. They must be ding limited solicitations right now.

Very interesting. I wonder what that means for a "team blog." Basically, I like the idea of the new version because it has a privacy setting. And I don't want to put work into embedding the calendar if we are going to have to do that again.

Really, we need to figure out how to use this or the wiki to replace some of the listserv and website functions.

I switched over to the new version of blogger yesterday, but since I don't have any blogs of my own, I don't think that that makes a difference.

When I DID switch, it told me that this blog wouldn't switch until the owner (Michael, I assume) switched it.

In any case, I vote for switching it. The beta version is supposedly complete at this point, and I don't think we'll have any stability issues. There will be integration with other google services and this means that we may be able to embed the department calendar. Or it may not. But there's a better chance that it will when we've switched.
